Doing Work

I'm out here doing work all by myself. Always out here by myself. Stupid lazy neighbors.

So, the wall is ready way faster than expected. We had planned to begin building the wall Saturday night around midnight. And yet, almost 30 hours early, it is ready. You might be wondering, well why don't you just wait until Saturday? What a risk that would be! One of the favorite activities of Haven griefers is to take a cornerpost and either seal it, so it becomes useless, or build crazy stupid walls that ruin all your shit. No, if it is ready, it must be done immediately. Even if I have to do it all myself.

That said, griefing is unlikely. Would you believe I have not run into anyone else at all?? It makes you wonder where everyone is. Maybe ebola visited Haven. And while we tried to pick a site that was isolated, we did not succeed. There are multiple substantial habitations within a reasonable boating distance, including the mysterious Village of Dali no more than a kilometer away! I have spent much time foraging and hunting around Dali, and have yet to see a single person within or outside of its massive walls. Eventually our curiosity may get the best of us, and we might have to use a battering ram to, ahem, inspect the premises. Purely in the community caretaking function, of course.

It's all for the better. While I have met plenty of pleasant Haven peasants in my days, most random encounters either annoy or harm you. For being a social MMO, Haven is decidedly anti-social. The game is best played with a strong wooden wall, if not a brick wall. The bricks will wait.

Junior Mints is awake now. We shall finish the wall in short order.
